Peat and Repeat’s first live-action exhibition “a micro-biology of circumstance: now what?” took place at the Tashmoo Water Pumping Station on Martha’s Vineyard in September.
A powerful scope of work by fourteen artists that included video, performance, paintings, prints, and drawings. Featured were: Jack Greene’s seminal paintings, such as Palaces of Impermanence from the seventies; premiering Anna Sang Park’s video, Ongjin and Mandy Morrison’s video (and performance), Spooks; Pasha Radetzki’s performance, L-O-V (Love-ego=Lov) from his ongoing project in Brazil, L-O-V Garden as well as drawings and photographs; Paul McGuirk’s work, Pitch (a new print work for Peat and Repeat soon to be featured on the site); Hope Sandrow’s unique print, Portrait of a Chicken as an Egg; Lesley Raeside’s painting, Whisper; Francine Hunter McGivern’s triadic ephemeral works, In Memorium/Holes; Philip Greene’s luscious black and white print Sheet in Wind; Elke Luyten and Kira Alker’s videos, Clown and My Mouth is Full of Sorrow; Elke Luyten’s Untitled print; Keith Donovan’s, Accident II, Matthew Rose’s, Visit Iraq and Caterina Verde’s video, ‘Remote Viewing and Recreational Vehicle”
