Philip Greene lives in a rural spot in Guilford, Connecticut. Shepherded on various sides by goats, chickens, and a small dog named, Tink - (seen in doorway), he works primarily with film cameras of all sorts: large to medium format as well as Polaroids, relying on the unreliable use of expired film.
He been photographing since he was ten years old when he got his first camera from a family friend traveling to Japan.
An earlier life, included a career as a chef working in Hawaii, Miami, Santa Barbara, Boston, Albuquerque, and New York City.
Currently, his work is included in the film, An Impossible Project, a documentary on one person’s impetus to save the last Polaroid Factory. He has won several awards for his work.
